The Elle & Vire Yoghurt Sampling & Sales Acceleration Campaign was a focused 4-week consumer activation designed to introduce more shoppers to the brand’s premium yoghurt range while boosting retail sales across Kampala’s Central Region. Our role was to create a direct, meaningful interaction between consumers and the product, ensuring that potential buyers not only saw the brand on shelves but also tasted and understood its nutritional value and premium quality. This market environment is crowded, so creating a standout presence was a central priority.
To deliver maximum impact, our team deployed activation units across 20 strategically selected stores, ensuring consistent brand visibility, sampling flow, and education on the yoghurt’s benefits. The approach combined structured product trials, strategic merchandising, and supportive sales engagement, making shoppers feel confident in choosing Elle & Vire amidst competing yoghurt brands. The format was high-touch, personal, and informative, giving the brand a premium presence in modern trade outlets.
Over the 16 active campaign days, this strategy produced compelling results: 78% sales achievement, 88% customer sampling rate, and 56% success calls. These metrics signaled strong consumer acceptance, high conversion from trial to purchase, and an effective execution strategy. The success of the project reinforced Elle & Vire’s ability to compete strongly within Uganda’s dairy category and demonstrated Topnotch’s strength in designing and executing experiential programs that drive trial, visibility, and loyalty.
The client required a strong in-store presence and an effective sampling campaign capable of achieving three main goals:
Increase brand visibility within high-traffic retail stores.
Stimulate product trials through a structured sampling program introducing the yoghurt to new consumers.
Drive sales and repeat purchase, ensuring immediate uplift during the activation period and long-term brand recall.
Additionally, the campaign needed professional brand ambassadors able to communicate nutritional benefits, collect customer feedback, and maintain premium brand representation.
We designed a 360° in-store experiential strategy built around consumer engagement, trial generation, and persuasive sales interaction. Our field team executed structured sampling sessions across the targeted stores, approaching shoppers at key decision points and guiding them into trial and eventual purchase. We provided full merchandising support, ensuring Elle & Vire products were cleanly arranged, properly priced, and prominently displayed.
To increase conversion, our ambassadors were trained to highlight unique selling points—nutritional value, taste, freshness—and to encourage immediate purchase. Daily monitoring ensured stock availability, sampling efficiency, and optimal customer flow. By integrating sampling, sales, merchandising, and customer education, we delivered a cohesive activation that exceeded sales and visibility expectations.
